About the Role
As a Construction Engineer at Peab, you will have the opportunity to be part of many exciting civil engineering projects located around Blekinge with varying size and focus. The role involves working as a support in production for the Site Manager with responsibility for project administration. Areas of responsibility vary depending on the project's size, complexity, and project organization. Areas that may be included are financial management, calculation, scheduling, contract issues, procurement, logistics, quality, documentation, work environment, safety, and sustainability. Sometimes you will be involved in calculation work ranging from budget estimates on initial sketches to detailed calculations based on completed construction documents. The work is often conducted in close collaboration with colleagues such as Site Manager and Operations Manager.
We are happy to see you being open to a combination of Construction Engineer and Calculation Engineer roles. In this position, you will together with our current Construction Engineer be an important employee in laying the groundwork for our future projects. Based on your commitment, background, and previous experience, you will have great opportunities to help develop them. You will also have many opportunities to develop and influence the design of future projects that develop our society in both large and small ways.
Your Experience
We are seeking candidates with post-secondary education in technology or economics, or equivalent work experience. To succeed in the role, we want you to have several years of experience from the construction industry where you have worked with production projects.
Personal Characteristics
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious. You are cost-aware and able to make decisions. You enjoy working independently with the ability to drive your own work forward but also easily collaborate and are accustomed to working towards clear deadlines. You have good computer skills and are comfortable working with numbers.
The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Karlshamn or Karlskrona.
