We are now seeking an Enterprise Architect for Swedish Emergency Network (SWEN).
In this role, you will have a coordinating function and support service delivery for both current and future critical communication services, as well as other services within SWEN. You will drive business and solution architecture within the domain, with the opportunity to shape how services are developed going forward.
Your Responsibilities and Tasks
As an Enterprise Architect for SWEN, you will be responsible for developing and driving the architecture function and coordinating all architects within the domain. This also involves close collaboration with other agencies and private actors, both nationally and internationally.
Your tasks include:
- Responsible for the domain's digital agenda and contribute opportunity-oriented to achieving the organization's overall goals and vision.
- Ensure that appropriate governance models and structures are in place to develop, manage, plan, and follow up on architectural work.
- Coordinate and lead the architecture group within the domain.
- Work to understand and anchor the organization's strategies, both short-term and long-term, in the domain's architectural work.
- Initiate assignments and support and coordinate work to balance business needs, requirements, and wishes to create secure and efficient services.
The work also involves balancing different aspects against each other, such as flexibility versus manageability and performance versus cost, to ensure sustainable and efficient solutions within the domain.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant academic education in IT, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Several years of experience working as a domain architect, enterprise architect, or similar role.
- Experience in leading, coaching, and driving teams of architects and other stakeholders.
- Very good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience with complex IT solutions and services within Telecom, including BSS and OSS.
- Experience with critical service delivery with 24/7 support.
- Experience in telecom and network architecture (RAN, Core, IP)
- Certified in TOGAF or similar IT architecture framework.
- Experience with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
- Experience working with information security classes and security solutions.
- Experience in change management such as transformation projects and digitalization.
- Experience with international collaborations.
- Experience from government agencies.

About the Position
This is a permanent position with an initial 6-month probationary period. Your duty station will be Karlstad, and travel both nationally and internationally is part of the role.
Swedish citizenship is a requirement for employment at MSB as the position involves placement in a security class. Employment requires passing a security screening with register check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
