About this role
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking engaged unit managers for two of our four units for payroll administration and fee management within the Elderly Care and Healthcare Administration.
As a unit manager, you will have budget, operational, and personnel responsibility for a group of employees who primarily work as management support and with fee management.
In your role, you will collaborate daily with your three management colleagues. You will be located together on Första Långgatan, where all employees are gathered in a workplace characterized by close collaboration and open dialogue.
In the staff and communications department, there are three additional units: administration, security, and communications. As a unit manager, you will be part of a joint management group with the finance department, with a total of nine unit managers. You will work together with your colleagues on various issues related to cross-departmental support for operations.
As a manager, you will promote a respectful work climate within your own employee group and in relation to the operations the unit supports. We work based on Gothenburg City's four approaches that guide us in our daily work: I know my mission, I care, I work together, and I think innovatively.
Qualifications
The position requires a relevant university education of at least 120 credits. Previous management experience is meritorious, as the department's size involves significant complexity in leadership and governance. Experience from previous administrative management roles and working in a politically governed organization is also advantageous.
As a unit manager, you understand the shared mission of the four payroll administration and fee management units, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. Together with your colleagues, you establish clear goals and plan activities and projects well in advance. You work methodically and ensure that work is completed and results are followed up. You motivate and pedagogically describe changes and stand by decisions made. Genuine collaboration ability is the primary competence for delivering desired results in the assignment.
Warmly welcome to apply!
