We are currently seeking a unit manager for care and support, preferably with experience and specific knowledge in home care. RESPONSIBILITIES As a unit manager in care and support, you have overall responsibility for the operations. This means you are responsible for quality, personnel, work environment, and finances. You will lead and develop the work based on the municipality's goals and guidelines, always focusing on ensuring that the elderly receive the support and care they need. As a unit manager, you have an important role in leading and developing the operations, and you are expected to: • Lead and inspire employees to create a workplace where everyone feels involved, appreciated, and motivated. • Develop the operations by working on both daily tasks and long-term improvements, always focusing on the needs of the elderly. • Monitor finances and quality to ensure that the operations maintain quality and that resources are used wisely. • Collaborate with other professionals such as nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers to create safe and cohesive care. • Think innovatively by initiating new working methods and solutions that meet future needs. You will have significant freedom to influence and develop the operations, with support from both colleagues and management. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • Has a higher education suitable for the job, such as in healthcare, social work, or leadership. • Has experience as a manager, preferably within home care or elderly care. • Is a clear and confident leader who makes employees feel involved and engaged. • Has good knowledge of the laws applicable to elderly care, such as the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). • Is structured, solution-focused, and good at communicating, seeing opportunities even when circumstances change. It is a plus if you have worked with IBIC or Combine, which are our operational systems. A driver's license is required. Experience working with IBIC or Combine, which are our operational systems, is advantageous. A driver's license is a requirement. OTHER Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. Interviews are planned for December 9 and December 11. Tjörn Municipality requests a criminal record extract in connection with this recruitment. For certain professions within Tjörn Municipality, an extract from the criminal record and/or a security check is required. For all positions within the social services department, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented.
