About this role
The Assistive Technology Services are responsible for the operation of assistive technology activities for individuals with mobility impairments in the southern part of Stockholm County, as well as cross-county responsibility for individuals in need of consumable assistive devices at home, medical technology equipment at home, and communication, cognition, vision, and hearing aids.
**Description**
As the unit manager for operational support, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and monitoring the unit's work.
You ensure that our support processes maintain high quality and contribute to the organization’s overall goals. A key part of the role is to strengthen collaboration with other units and managers within the organization to create coherence, efficiency, and even better support for core operations.
You have personnel, work environment, and budget responsibilities and are part of the management team of the organization. You work closely with other managers and actively contribute to joint governance, development, and planning.
The Assistive Technology Services currently operate at three locations: one in Fruängen and two in Solna. The unit currently has 20 employees located at all addresses.
Employees within operational support work on issues related to finance, communication, system management, system development, patient safety, and operational monitoring.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead and develop the unit’s employees, creating conditions for well-being, participation, and clarity.
- Drive development and change initiatives, both within the unit and in collaboration with other parts of the organization.
- Ensure that working methods, routines, and processes are purposeful, effective, and of high quality.
- Collaborate with other managers to develop common working methods and strengthen the organization’s support structures.
- Be responsible for planning, monitoring, and reporting on operations, finances, and work environment.
**Qualifications**
- A relevant post-secondary education.
- Several years of experience leading personnel in a complex organization, preferably with responsibility for a group of similar size.
- Experience working in public administration and an understanding of politically governed operations.
- Documented experience in driving development and change initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written forms.

**Conditions**
You will be offered a permanent position in the basic role with a three-year appointment as unit manager. The position will be filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:
- A background check will be conducted prior to the hiring decision according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to applicable directives, which will be conducted by occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language at a C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
