Unit Manager for Värmdö Short-Term Stay

We have the privilege of working in a unique location, close to both the sea and the city. You can easily commute to our facilities in Värmdö from Slussen in approximately 30 minutes, with direct buses running every ten minutes. You can also ferry commute for most of the year with the commuter boat line from Strömkajen in Stockholm.
The Operation
Short-term stay outside one's own home is an LSS intervention for persons with disabilities, aimed at enabling environmental change, stimulation, and relief for relatives. At Värmdö Short-Term Stay, no two days are the same. Support is tailored to each individual's needs, always with the goal of increasing independence and strengthening personal resources.

Job Description
As a unit manager, you work as a first-line manager. You have overall responsibility for the operation, personnel, work environment, and budget. The work is both operational and strategic and developmental. You work closely with your operation and are usually on-site. Within the framework of your work, you have extensive contact with relatives/representatives of individuals in short-term stay, in collaboration with employees. Building relationships and collaborating both internally and with external partners is a priority. The municipality has a collaboration agreement, and collaboration with union representatives is an important part of your work.
As a unit manager, you report directly to the department head and are part of the department's management team, working from a holistic perspective for the entire Support Services and Care and Nursing Office.
Qualifications
Regarding work experience, the candidate we seek:
- Experience as a manager or in another leadership position within LSS.
- Experience with budget work.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience working with short-term stay for children and youth.
- Experience with operations (both as a manager and/or employee) targeting children and youth within LSS.
- Experience in driving and leading change and development work.
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
Regarding education, the candidate we seek:
- University degree in social work, behavioral science, or another higher education that the employer deems equivalent.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and general guidelines applicable to the operation.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Training in AAC and various pedagogical aids.
- Training in different pedagogical methods.
