JOB DESCRIPTION
As a unit manager within the disability services, you will have an exciting and challenging role leading, planning, and developing services at two of our supported living accommodations (BmSS).
Together with your staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that services provided to individuals maintain high quality and are tailored to individual needs and preferences. You will be supported in your role by experienced unit manager colleagues, method developers, and support pedagogues who will assist you in developing methods and quality in daily work, as well as coordinators who will help schedule the necessary shifts at each accommodation.
You will be part of a management team that actively collaborates in a positive working environment characterized by close cooperation and many shared laughs. Responsibilities include budget management, workplace environment oversight, and personnel management, along with significant collaboration with both internal and external units and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for candidates with a degree in social work, behavioral science, or other higher education qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience working with BmSS/Daily Operations is advantageous.
You should have at least 2 years of managerial experience. You also need experience and knowledge about people with various disabilities. A good understanding of applicable legislation is necessary.
You possess the ability to be a clear leader who aims to create a work environment where employees thrive and develop. You have visions and see opportunities for change and improvement, setting high standards when it comes to the well-being and quality of life of the users. You can leverage the skills and good ideas of others. You must be courageous and confident in making difficult decisions, ensuring that you complete tasks that you've initiated.
Familiarity with commonly used systems, such as Personec, Lifecare, and Time Care, is advantageous. Experience in Developmental Leadership is also a plus.
You need to have strong verbal and written communication skills and a desire to undertake this assignment!
A valid driver's license is required.
