Unit Manager for Care and Nursing Home
The Care and Elderly Administration provides equal, gender-equal, and equivalent care and support to the residents of Borås City. Focusing on the individual, we work with health-promoting, preventive, and security-enhancing initiatives. We are over 2,700 employees, including 90 managers, who together develop our operations through professionalism, commitment, and learning!
We are now seeking a Unit Manager for a Care and Nursing Home in Borås, offering a varied and meaningful job with the opportunity to make a difference! You will be located at Våglängdsgatan 153 in Borås, where you will be one of four unit managers. At this location, residents with cognitive disorders live, and there is also a unit with somatic focus. Your assignment will be to collaborate with one of your three colleagues to manage three units with a total of 60 residents.
Job Responsibilities
As a Unit Manager, you are responsible for the operation's quality, personnel, and economy, working both strategically and operationally. Systematic quality work is central to ensuring good and safe care for our residents. Through continuous improvements, you will ensure that interventions are of high quality and provided with the right support. Systematic work environment management is also a crucial part of your mission, creating a good and developing work environment for employees. Together with employees and safety representatives, you will develop work methods and routines that promote participation, engagement, and job satisfaction. You will have close collaboration with HR and finance functions, with administrative support from a coordinator. You will also continuously collaborate with your fellow managers in the operational area.

Qualifications
We seek candidates with a bachelor's degree, preferably in social work, healthcare, or organizational leadership. Previous management experience and practical professional experience in care and support are advantageous. A B driver's license is required since our units are located in different parts of Borås. Borås City works with trust-based leadership, so you should have a good ability to create trusting relationships and inspire others. You are result-oriented, attentive, and engaged, willing to contribute ideas for operational development. You are confident and stable in your leadership role, able to lead the operation towards set goals. You collaborate easily and thrive in shared leadership. Furthermore, you are structured, with planning skills that allow you to prioritize your workday. Good system proficiency is expected, preferably with experience in Heroma, Agresso, Viva, and Time Care.
