The Social Services Department in Örkelljunga municipality consists of social services, elderly care, municipal healthcare, disability care, and preventive functions. We are organized into a prevention unit, authority unit, and implementation unit. Our guiding principle is teamwork, utilizing the small municipality's strength of working closely together through short decision-making paths for an efficient organization and a service-near perspective.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a leader for our department who will initially work alongside one of our experienced LSS managers with the goal of fully replacing them upon retirement. You will also be responsible for quality and development work within the legal frameworks governing our operations. As a unit manager in our department, you will have operational, economic, and personnel responsibilities. In the leadership role, you will work closely with employees, residents, and their families, which requires a high level of understanding of the target group and the organization's challenges. As a leader with us, you will contribute to a good work environment and create opportunities for our employees to take responsibility, have influence, and feel involved. We offer an initial position where you can broadly get to know our organization and be introduced to the operations you will eventually lead as a unit manager. QUALIFICATIONS
We expect that you applying for this position have an academic education that matches the area of operations you will work in. We believe that several years of experience as a manager or other leadership experience provides a good foundation, with either elderly care or LSS having created your understanding of the assignment. Of course, being well-versed in relevant legislation such as SOL, LSS, and HSL will be meritorious.
You need to have high digital competence and be brave in implementing changes within given directions and frameworks. Previous experience in driving change and implementing new working methods will be beneficial.
Experience with workplace environment work, rehabilitation, and employee wellness is an interesting background in the municipality's work with sustainable employee engagement.
A driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes is required.
