About the Position
As a unit manager with us, you are expected to be independent, confident, unpretentious, and easy to collaborate with. Some periods involve a high work pace, which you need to manage in your role as unit manager. The goal of the operation is for each individual to feel involved and have their individual care and support needs met in a safe and secure home environment. The working method is team-based, focusing on creating comprehensive, high-quality care and support.
By the end of 2026, you will be part of relocating the current Södermalmshemmet facility to the new residence being built in Wadköping, where the operation will continue to be conducted.
Together with your fellow unit managers, you will be responsible for managing the residence and have responsibility for care staff in your work group. You will also be part of a management team together with managers from other residences and the area's operations manager.
Example Work Tasks:
• Personnel, financial, and operational responsibility
• Drive, develop, and follow up on operations against set goals
• Lead, support, and develop employee competencies
• Work from a holistic perspective and make decisions within the operational area
• Responsible for continuous environmental monitoring in the field
• Collaborate with union organizations and other internal and external parties
• Develop the operation towards continuous quality improvement with citizens in focus
About the Workplace
Södermalmshemmet is the municipality's largest specialized housing facility, providing care and support to 108 residents across 12 departments. The residence offers two care orientations: somatic and dementia care. The facility is located near the city center.
Qualifications

As a leader, you are communicative with the ability to encourage and inspire. You invite dialogue to create participation and encourage a work climate characterized by creativity and innovative solutions with citizens in focus. As a person, you are confident, self-aware, and have the courage to act according to your own convictions. A prerequisite is the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:
• Academic degree of at least 180 credits in health sciences or social work, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Previous management experience with personnel, financial, and operational responsibility
• Good computer skills
