Description
Are you interested in leading and developing a team at the heart of service and support in our organization? We are now seeking an engaged and development-oriented Unit Manager for reception and administration at the Social Administration Centre.
The unit is responsible for reception, mail handling, and administrative support for our social welfare offices, as well as IT coordination and telephony. You will lead a group of 11 employees and have personnel, budget, and work environment responsibilities.
You will be organizationally placed under the finance department and work closely with the department head and three colleagues with assignments in finance, procurement, administration, and property management.
Work Tasks
As Unit Manager, you will drive the development of the organization and ensure that work is characterized by professionalism, quality, and service. You will explore new working methods to streamline administrative processes and create even better service for users and social services. You will play a crucial role in developing a new visitor arena for the entire administration and in meeting the new Social Services Act.
Your mission in brief:
- Lead, plan, and develop the unit with a focus on quality and service
- Ensure a well-functioning reception and administrative support for operations and work with customer satisfaction
- Responsible for coordinating the administration's IT and telephony
- Responsible for finance, personnel, and work environment
- Collaborate with operations and other support functions within the administration, as well as with similar functions in other social administrations
You will be part of the finance department's management team, where you will work strategically and goal-oriented on collaboration, digitalization, and development of methods and working approaches.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant university education with a focus on social work (social worker), administration, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- Experience in leading personnel in an administrative area, preferably in the public sector or other politically governed organization
- Good understanding of financial processes and budget responsibility
- Experience in development work and change management
- Very good Swedish skills, both verbal and written
- Good IT skills and interest in how technology can streamline and support operations
Experience working within social services is meritorious.
As a person, you are structured, attentive, and solution-oriented, with the ability to build trust and collaborate across organizational boundaries. You are motivated by creating order, clarity, and participation.
