About this role

Function Support is one of three business areas within the Welfare Administration. Our mission is to ensure that citizens who have been granted support under the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS) and the Social Services Act (social psychiatry and housing support) can live an independent and autonomous life, where self-determination and participation are key principles. Our support will make a real difference! The business area is divided into a strategic and tactical management team and three operational management groups - housing, daily activities, and personal assistance. The operational management groups are responsible for steering and leading daily work to ensure that the business area's strategies and visions are realized. We are now seeking a driven, structured, and goal-oriented Unit Manager for our personal assistance team. Together with your two colleagues, you will drive operational issues and continue to contribute to developing the operation to meet future challenges. You will report directly to the Business Manager. Work Tasks As Unit Manager for personal assistance, you will have overall responsibility for personnel, quality, finance, and work environment in your unit. Together with your employees, you will ensure high-quality individual support based on the Function Support business idea: "Within Function Support, we ensure the right to an independent life and access to individually adapted support where participation and self-determination are in focus." Through close collaboration with users, relatives, and other stakeholders, you will contribute to making a real difference in people's lives! Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a university degree, such as in social work or behavioral science, or alternative education/experience deemed sufficient by the employer. We prefer previous leadership and change management experience, preferably from similar operations. You should have good knowledge of the business area and current legislation. As Unit Manager, it is important that you have good skills in economics and scheduling and the ability to create good conditions for participation and cooperation both externally and internally. You should have a solution-focused approach, courage to make decisions, and the ability to communicate clearly. You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, see follow-up and feedback as important tools in leadership, and enjoy managing multiple tasks simultaneously. A valid driver's license with at least category B is required. Access to a personal vehicle is meritorious as travel to various workplaces is common.
