At the Construction and Environmental Administration, we are seeking a Unit Manager for our Environmental Protection Unit.

What You Will Do
As Unit Manager of the Environmental Protection Unit, you have comprehensive responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances. You will plan and follow up work based on organizational goals, develop needs assessments and supervision plans, and ensure that the unit's core mission is completed with high quality. You will represent the employer's personnel policy and actively work to ensure continuous skills development for employees in their specific areas. The role also includes handling press and media inquiries, participating in management group work, and contributing to the committee's work with documentation and follow-up.

Your Experience
We are looking for someone with at least three years of management experience with personnel responsibility and background in environmental protection. You do not need to be an expert in the specific field but should have the ability and interest to understand complex issues when needed. A college or university degree in urban development or environmental studies, or an equivalent qualification, is required. Excellent Swedish communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. You will need a B driver's license to visit different parts of Halmstad municipality and good digital literacy.
