The Medical Outpatient Unit includes medical reception, lung reception, memory clinic, and dietitian reception. Here, there is broad and versatile expertise with several different specialties. We work in interprofessional teams where nurses and doctors form the foundation. Our work group also includes medical secretaries and a psychologist.
Medical Outpatient Care is within the Emergency and Medical Operations Area. Approximately 390 committed employees work here, consisting of nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, counselors, and other key healthcare professionals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We look forward to welcoming you who want to lead the work within Medical Outpatient Care at Lasarettet in Ystad.
As Unit Manager, you will drive the development of our outpatient unit and contribute to creating participation and engagement in both development and improvement work. You have primary responsibility for the unit's economy, operations, and employees by creating conditions for safe and patient-centered care, balanced finances, and a work climate characterized by participation and commitment.
Through a present leadership style, you will clarify and communicate visions, goals, and strategies. Together with your employees, you will develop the unit's goals, plan, analyze, follow up on results, and lead the unit forward. For us, a good work environment is a natural foundation for the organization's success. As Unit Manager, you will become a key person in creating a safe, inclusive, and developmental workplace where employees thrive and have the right conditions to do a good job. You will be the manager of nurses, nursing assistants, counselor, dietitian, and psychologist, and also collaborate with other professional categories in daily work.
The unit is part of the Emergency and Medical Operations Area, and you will be an important part of driving and developing the operations area forward. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work both operationally and strategically. You will have access to support from HR, finance, communication, and patient safety coordinators, which will provide you with conditions to develop in your leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a higher education in healthcare or another education that the employer considers equivalent. The position requires good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing. Previous management experience is a requirement for the position. Experience with patient flows and accessibility in reception operations is meritorious.
The role requires a confident and committed leader anchored in our core values. As Unit Manager, you will be present in the operations and responsible for personnel, work environment, operations, and budget. Your leadership will be characterized by a development focus for both your unit and the entire operations area. An important part of your assignment will be to create participation and best utilize and develop employees' skills and commitment.
You are passionate about creating a work environment with your employees where both patients and staff thrive and achieve good results within given frameworks and goals.
