The Welfare and Care Administration is divided into two departments: Health and Medical Care and Elderly Care in one, and Individual and Family Care (IFO) and LSS in the other.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a unit manager for elderly care. As we are currently in the midst of an elderly care investigation for our future, the role may involve home care or special housing, as well as preventive activities and digital development in the field. We have already made decisions regarding structural changes in our elderly care that affect special housing, and an investigation is ongoing regarding the design of home care services.
As a unit manager with us, you will have overall responsibility for your operations concerning personnel, finances, quality, and development. In terms of financial conditions, we are undergoing adjustments to manage our assignments within the allocated budget framework. You will receive strong support from both your manager and colleagues regarding your responsibilities in the administration. You will report directly to the department head and be part of the management team for elderly care/healthcare alongside your managerial colleagues.
You will plan and organize the unit based on applicable legislation, political goals, guidelines, and routines. You will lead your operations through present leadership and by being genuinely interested in people, both regarding employees and, above all, those we serve.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a strong ability to lead and motivate to effectively achieve set goals. Your personal qualities as a leader are important, and we see that you are confident, stable, and possess good self-awareness. As a person, you are attentive and adaptable in your relationships with others, and you excel at creating engagement and participation.
You should have a university degree in social work or another higher education that the employer deems suitable. You need to have good knowledge of the legislation within the operational area, and it is advantageous if you have previously worked as a manager or in a leadership position.
As a leader in our organization, we see you as a present person with an unpretentious, structured, and clear leadership style. You have clear and effective communication and ensure that the right information is conveyed to your workgroup. You easily see the department and the entire administration from a holistic perspective.
For this position, you need a valid driver's license (B) and access to your own car.
OTHER
If you are considered for employment, the employer will request a criminal record extract. The municipal council has decided that all new hires must present a criminal record extract before employment. The extract required is for work within schools or preschools.
