Unit Manager for Urology Physician Group, Sundsvall

County Hospital Somatic Care coordinates specialized somatic healthcare in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county hospital activities. These are operated at three hospitals in Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, along with several clinics across the county. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.
County Activity for Surgery, Urology, and Ear, Nose, and Throat in Västernorrland is a county-wide clinic with about 350 employees located in Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik.
We are currently seeking a Unit Manager for the Urology Physicians in Sundsvall.
The position is a permanent employment in the base profession, with a time-limited management appointment guided by the Region's leadership policy. As a manager in Region Västernorrland, you represent the employer and exercise leadership based on good self-awareness, characterized by honesty, openness, sense of responsibility, and personal courage. Start date: 2026-01-01.
Job Responsibilities
As Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and coordinating the unit's work. You will have personnel management for approximately 15 employees and be responsible for economic and quality-related matters. You will also work on follow-ups and initiate and drive change and improvement processes.
You will play a crucial role in the joint work of the county activity, reporting directly to the county activity manager and being part of the management group. High-priority areas include:
• Patient Safety
• Care Quality
• Work Environment
Work will be conducted according to jointly established goals, priorities, and values for the county activity.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who:
• Have a relevant academic degree in healthcare or another higher education, or experience that the employer deems equivalent
• Have excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written
Preferred qualifications:
• Several years of management and leadership experience
• Education in healthcare
