Job Responsibilities
We are expanding the number of unit managers in the Child and Youth area and are therefore seeking a unit manager for one of our short-term care homes for children and youth, Welandergatan 37/Broströmsgården Short-Term Care Home.
This is a new position within the operational area and will provide good conditions for close leadership, development of our work, and a good work environment at the unit.
Short-term care is a service under the LSS Act aimed at providing relief and recreation for children, youth, and their families. The administration has three short-term care homes for children and youth and sees a need for future expansion. The Welandergatan 37 Short-Term Care Home is a unit focused on children and youth with multiple functional variations. The facility is located in Örgryte, co-located with other facilities for the target group, and is open year-round. Our guests stay with us approximately from 3:00 PM-9:00 AM on weekdays and around the clock on weekends.
As unit manager at Welandergatan 37 Short-Term Care Home, you will be responsible for approximately 15 employees working as support educators or support assistants. The facility also has two nurses working in the region. You will have personnel, economic, and operational responsibility, with comprehensive responsibility for ensuring the facility provides safe and high-quality care and support for our users. We have close collaboration with parents and other professionals.
You will be part of a management team working with interventions for children and youth. In 2025, we will expand from eleven to fourteen unit managers. Additionally, we have a business developer and a method developer. Other facilities in our operational area include the city's entire child residences and short-term care homes, camp activities, and relief services. We have a Resource Unit that works with scheduling for our residences. The operational area works across the entire city, not divided into city districts.
Qualifications
You have a university degree in social work, social care, or another education that the employer deems appropriate for the operation. You have experience in work management, previous management experience, or preparatory management programs. Previous management experience in the disability support area is meritorious.
You have good knowledge of the LSS legislation and labor laws related to the assignment.
Experience with the multiple functional variations target group is meritorious. Having completed 7.5 credits in social law is also meritorious. Knowledge of the Time Care IT system, scheduling, and social documentation is considered advantageous for the position.
You can oversee your own area of responsibility and place your unit's significance in a broader context. At the same time, you listen to other people to understand their needs. You actively seek others' viewpoints and perspectives. Furthermore, you are motivated by clearly defined goals and have the ability to transform these into concrete actions. You have the ability to work together with others to complete tasks and achieve goals.
