Job Responsibilities
Unit Manager for Newly Opened Short-Term Care Facility in Gothenburg City
In Spring 2025, we are launching our short-term care unit within the Disability Support Administration. The target group for the short-term care unit is individuals 18 years and older who require short-term placement due to need for care, rehabilitation, and healthcare services, typically after a hospital stay.
At Byalagsgatan, there will be three unit managers distributed across three units, and you will work in close collaboration. The operation runs 24/7.
The organization faces exciting challenges and is undergoing change and development. As a unit manager, you will be a crucial part of this work and will have significant opportunities to influence and are expected to be proactive and active in the development.
The facility includes nursing assistants, support pedagogues, and coordinators. Licensed healthcare professionals work full-time on-site, organized under elderly care with their own unit manager. The healthcare unit manager will be an important collaborative partner in your role as short-term care facility manager and is located on-site.
We offer you an exciting and developmental work environment alongside knowledgeable and experienced colleagues. The group will consist of 8 unit managers, a method developer, and staffing controller. The management team works with special-service housing and short-term care. As a new member of our group, you will be assigned a mentor in the form of a senior colleague. To continuously develop our management roles, we have the benefit of internal leadership training. The City of Gothenburg also offers a comprehensive introduction and training concept for new managers.
