Your role As a unit manager, you will have overall responsibility for results and goal fulfillment within your geographical unit. The role includes personnel management, financial oversight, and strategic work on the development of the operation. Your responsibilities include employee evaluations, salary discussions, and rehabilitation cases. You are expected to work closely with both employees and customers, leading the operation efficiently and with high quality based on set goals. The role also includes responsibility for budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up, as well as linking these processes to the development and mission of the operation. Currently, there are three unit managers in the operation with whom you are expected to collaborate closely. Södertjänst has approximately 150 employees who report directly to a unit manager. It is an engaged, proactive staff group that works with great drive and responsibility. In this role, you will have significant influence over how the operation is developed and organized. You are expected to work innovatively and actively contribute to the operation achieving its goals. As a unit manager, you report directly to the area manager. You will be part of the management team for the Home Care Unit, which also includes five other unit managers from Södertjänst and Hornstull's service house, as well as a quality coordinator. Your qualifications and experience We are looking for someone with a genuine interest and commitment to the elderly and the development of elder care. You have: • a degree in social work or another academic qualification that the employer deems relevant for the position • at least 2 years of experience as a manager in elder care with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility • experience working with digital tools and the Office suite • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. We consider it an advantage if you have: • documented experience working with a similarly sized staff group • further education in leadership and organizational development • experience working based on a value foundation. You communicate clearly, ensure and follow up that messages are conveyed and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. You have a goal- and results-oriented approach that permeates your prioritization, planning, and actions. As a leader, you also create good conditions for participation for customers and relatives.
