Job Description Skinnskattebergs Municipality is seeking a Unit Manager for Hemgården, one of our specialized care facilities. Hemgården is a nursing home for elderly persons with two somatic departments, a short-term care unit, and night staff. As Unit Manager, you will have full responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances. Job Responsibilities You will lead, plan, coordinate, and develop the operations in a cost-effective manner, based on current legislation, political decisions, goals, guidelines, and financial frameworks. You will do this together with your colleagues for the benefit of the entire administration. You will report to the Head of Social Services and be part of the management team, collaborating with the department head and colleagues for the benefit of the administration, municipality, and citizens. Qualifications High school education in healthcare and social care is required. Higher education in social care programs, social work, nursing, or other equivalently assessed education is meritorious. You have experience managing operations with full responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances, and experience with Municipal and Administrative Law. Driving License B is required. Personal Qualities You are a good communicator who meets individuals where they are and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to collaborate, establish, and develop good relationships. Through a coaching approach, you inspire and engage your employees in development. With strong empathetic skills and a long-term perspective, you contribute to a pleasant, safe, and healthy workplace. This permeates your entire work as a manager and employee within Skinnskattebergs Municipality. Working Hours/Duration Full-time, permanent position with a potential probationary period.
