Welcome to us We are a larger municipal home care organization with six geographical areas within Enskede-Årsta-Vantör: Hagsätra-Rågsved, Bandhagen-Högdalen, Stureby, Årsta, Gullmarsplan, and Enskededalen. Our home care area is led by a total of eight unit managers, who, together with the deputy department manager, form our joint management group. Your role as a unit manager As a unit manager in home care, you are responsible for both the strategic and daily operations. You lead the staff, monitor the operations, and handle issues related to the delegated work environment responsibility. Together with your team, you drive development and quality work based on the operational plan and decisions from the management group. Your leadership should ensure that care recipients receive safe, person-centered, and high-quality care. You are present in the operations, engaged, and an active part of the team. You lead in a way that makes assignments and goals clear. This creates understanding, manageability, and meaningfulness for employees. You use resources efficiently and view quality work as a natural part of the operations. Together with employees and workplace representatives, you work towards a good organizational and social work environment with high attendance rates. You have knowledge, commitment, and experience in elderly care and personnel matters. In the management group, you actively contribute to the development and implementation of decisions. You report to the deputy department manager. Our work is based on a person-centered approach where the goal is for care recipients to feel well-being and quality of life. We expect good treatment, accountability, and initiative from all employees. Your skills and experience We are looking for someone who has: - Relevant higher education, preferably in social work - At least 2 years of managerial experience in elderly care - Good knowledge of the governing legislation of the operations - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Experience working with digital tools. It is an advantage if you have: - Several years of experience as a unit manager in home care with responsibility for finances, personnel, work environment, and operations - Good knowledge of labor law and experience in union collaboration - Experience from a politically governed organization. As a person, you should have strong structural abilities, be involved in developing processes and systems that enhance the operations. You also have the ability to translate structure into practice and prioritize effectively in your work to deliver according to set goals and timelines. You are development-oriented, capable of seeing the big picture, and work systematically based on goals and core operations. You are both results-oriented and collaborative. Through clarity, objectivity, and humility, you create understanding among employees about how goals are achieved. You are professional in your leadership and aware of your responsibilities in relation to employees, colleagues, and managers. You express yourself clearly and distinctly in both speech and writing, while also possessing an empathetic ability that allows you to recognize and utilize employees' competencies. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities that complement the team and fit the assignment, as well as your previous experience in leadership within home care.
