Your role with us As a unit manager in the housing and personal assistance department, you will lead and develop efforts to ensure a high-quality operation in line with our goals and values. The role entails complete managerial responsibility for operations, finances, and the work environment, wherein you are responsible for implementing decisions in accordance with current legislation, goals, guidelines, and policies. You will lead and develop your employees with the aim of creating a positive work environment, job satisfaction, and high quality for our clients. You will work closely with your colleagues, other managers, and support functions. Collaboration both internally and externally is a natural part of your work. We are looking for a leader who has the ability to motivate, inspire, and engage your employees. Your leadership is unpretentious, and you understand the importance of utilizing everyone's participation, thus providing your employees with the conditions needed to achieve common goals. Furthermore, we want you to have a strong ability to create collaborations and take responsibility for the operations by building relationships, communicating, and resolving conflicts constructively. We want you as a leader to be communicative, with the ability to bring life to and anchor goals through clear dialogue with your employees. You are trustworthy, and together with your team, you create the conditions for qualitative communication, reflection, and feedback. You are curious, aware of your surroundings, and see opportunities—always with a person-centered approach. You hold a higher education degree relevant to the field, such as a degree in social work, social care, or another academic qualification deemed relevant by the employer. Leadership training and training in change management are advantageous. We want you to have experience with budget responsibility, personnel responsibility, quality responsibility, as well as analysis and follow-up aimed at steering and leading. Experience in change management or project work is a plus. The job requires a good understanding of LSS legislation (Support and Services for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and experience with autism. Within personal assistance, knowledge and experience in applying the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child are advantageous. Naturally, you possess good communication skills both verbally and in writing, and you are comfortable with handling IT tools in your daily work. Previous experience with personnel systems and operational systems such as Heroma, Lifecare, and Multiaccess is also beneficial. You should have a valid driver's license (B) to be able to travel to the operations within the municipality. If you are offered employment in functional support, you must order and present an extract from the police criminal record. Who we are The operations of the social care administration are directed towards the elderly and individuals in need of functional support, as well as those requiring home care. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing housing, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, national high school, and assistive devices center in Eastern Skåne.
