About this role

Functional Support is a department within the Elderly and Care Administration that encompasses areas such as housing with special services (group housing), service housing, personal assistance, daily activities, and short-term accommodation for children and youth. Our mission is to strengthen people's abilities for independence, self-determination, and participation in their lives. We are now seeking two unit managers for our operations, with immediate start date upon agreement. Are you confident and inspiring in your leadership role? JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a unit manager within Functional Support, you will be one of nine managers in the department's management team, characterized by a strong forward-thinking approach, a positive atmosphere, and a good collaborative climate. One position involves responsibility for housing with special services and personal assistance, while the other position includes short-term accommodation for children and youth. Regardless of which of the two assignments becomes relevant for you, you will be responsible for a total work group of approximately 25 employees, primarily support assistants and personal assistants. Your assignment includes the following tasks: - Responsible for the operations' economy, personnel, and work environment within special service housing and personal assistance. - Implement decisions made. - Lead and develop the operations' work. - Ensure quality of work processes. - Develop quality and customer focus in the operations. - Assist the department head with analysis and follow-up of operations. - Utilize and develop competencies within work groups. - Competence development, communication, participation, digitalization, increased independence, and nutrition and health are some of the important areas you will work with throughout the year. In your work, you will also be given opportunities for continuous management guidance and consultation with the department head, as well as collegiate supervision. Organizationally, there are also plans to expand with two group homes, starting in 2026 and 2027. As a newly hired unit manager, you will be assigned a mentor. QUALIFICATIONS To be considered for the position, we seek someone who has: - Academic education deemed relevant by the employer, preferably in social care or social work. - Good knowledge of disabilities and LSS legislation - B driver's license Previous experience in personnel and budget management is meritorious. As a person, you have good leadership skills characterized by unpretentious collaboration. You are solution-oriented with a focus on residents' needs for good living conditions and place in society. As a unit manager, you are expected to work independently as well as in a team. You are driven by varied work and meeting new challenges.
