About this role
In the City of Mölndal, we are proud to have Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's daily lives every day!
The Culture and Leisure Committee's mission is to promote cultural life and create conditions for diverse cultural, sports, and leisure activities. The starting point is people's need for community, stimulation, and creativity. The operation is a foundation for engagement, influence, and a living society – with a special focus on children and young people.
The Culture and Leisure Administration consists of two operational areas: Sports, Leisure, and Public Health, and Library, Museum, and Culture. Each area has four units. Additionally, there is a Business Support unit with functions such as finance, communication, and committee administration.
The current unit manager position belongs to the Sports, Leisure, and Public Health operation and the Public Health and Community Work unit.
Approximately fifteen dedicated employees work at the unit, combining strategic and operational work to strengthen social sustainability in Mölndal. The unit works to create a safe and inclusive society – free from violence, discrimination, and exclusion – and promote equal health and strengthened democratic participation. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other actors within the city and externally, both locally and comprehensively. In addition to permanent employees, there are also project and hourly employees, such as safety hosts and young community developers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As unit manager, you are responsible for operations, finances, and personnel. You lead the work in line with the committee's and administration's goals and follow up on the operation based on set indicators. Budget work, management, and reporting are natural parts of the assignment.
You lead and coordinate the unit's activities, projects, and initiatives, often in collaboration with other units, departments, and external parties. The role includes following up and reporting to committees, subcommittees, and steering groups, as well as representing the administration in various networks. You also contribute to environmental scanning, knowledge dissemination, and skills development in the area.
As unit manager, you are part of the management group for Sports, Leisure, and Public Health and the administration's management group.

You have experience as a manager with responsibility for budgets, personnel, and operational planning, as well as experience in following up and reporting results. You are communicative and adapt your style to the target group and situation. You are confident in decision-making, work structured, and have the ability to create a good work environment focused on security and well-being.
We are seeking someone who is cooperative, professional, and service-oriented, but also independent and administratively skilled. Experience with digital systems is an advantage. A B driver's license is meritorious but not required.
