Unit Manager for Foster Care and Family Law – Make a difference every day!

Your role is crucial in developing the operations, enhancing quality, and creating good conditions for both employees and the children and families we serve. Together, we take responsibility and build trust!
The unit actively collaborates with other units to adapt to the new social services legislation. Our overarching goal is to increase participation among children, youth, and their families.
Recently, an organizational change has been implemented to simplify and streamline daily operations. The unit, which was previously large with four groups, now consists of two groups: one for family law and one for foster care and child caseworkers. Each group has a lead social worker as their immediate supervisor. The unit also includes a social administrator who supports the caseworkers.
Job Responsibilities
In your role, you will work closely with employees, colleagues, and external stakeholders. You will drive change initiatives, monitor goals, and ensure that work is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation and with the best interests of the child in focus.
As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel. You are an active member of our management team, where we collectively develop the work of individual and family services. Here, we work across boundaries to create quality interventions and provide a good response. Your role is both strategic and operational, and you are expected to be a driving force in change and development efforts.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with at least a three-year academic education in social work or law, or another relevant academic qualification that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of managerial experience within social services and are confident in your role. Your commitment to social work is evident in your leadership style, and you have the ability to maintain a focus on quality, results, and sustainable resource use.
You are accustomed to working evidence-based and in accordance with legislation, guidelines, and best practices. Furthermore, the position requires you to have a B driver's license, good digital skills, and the ability to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Relevant education in the field, such as legal training, preferably in civil law, is advantageous. Work experience with court processes, as well as authority exercise and experience working in a politically governed organization, is also meritorious.
You have a genuine interest in people and believe in the power of collaboration, trusting in your employees' competencies. By responsibly and attentively leading the unit, you will shape the social services of tomorrow together with your team.

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon.
