We are now seeking an engaged Unit Manager for the Unit of Promoting and Preventive Interventions, as the current manager is retiring.
The unit is an important part of the municipality's work in creating good and close healthcare and a sustainable social service with the individual in focus.
The operations include meeting points, day activities for people with dementia, safety-creating technology such as alarms and locks, assistive technology technicians, elderly and next-of-kin consultants, and dementia nurses. The unit strives towards a health-promoting and preventive approach, coordination of interventions, and a team-based working method to strengthen the quality of life for the elderly and their relatives.
Work Tasks
As Unit Manager, you have a workplace-close leadership assignment where you are responsible for leading daily work, developing the operations together with employees, and ensuring efficient resource utilization. You have operational responsibility for personnel, finances, work environment, and operational results. You will be part of the management group for Entry Advice and Support together with unit managers for rehabilitation, nurses, legal authority (LSS and SoL), deputy department manager, and department manager who is also the healthcare operations manager. You will become part of an engaged management team that works together, learns from the old, and shapes the new.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with a college education deemed relevant for the position, such as in social work, care, healthcare, technology, or leadership. Previous management experience is meritorious, as is experience working in a politically governed organization. It is desirable that you have a good understanding of digital tools and systems used in the operations, such as alarm and lock systems and safety-creating technology.
You are a responsible leader who promotes participation and develops employees' skills and engagement. The assignment is broad and contains several important parts, which requires the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and create structure. An important part of the assignment is internal and external collaboration.
You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, good knowledge of the Swedish language, and good computer skills. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
A valid driver's license, category B, is required.
