We are seeking a new managerial colleague for the unit for preventive assistance. The unit is new and consists of three day activities focused on dementia: Skogsgläntan, Lillsjönäs, and Brommagården. The unit also includes a city-wide short-term accommodation for individuals with dementia. The unit for preventive assistance is part of the elderly care department. A reorganization has been carried out within the department based on Stockholm City's new management structure. As of November 1st this year, the preventive operations, consisting of two units, will be included in a new area for authority and prevention. This area also includes two units for authority. Please read more about these here. Your role As a unit manager, you will work with the overall quality and operational issues of the unit, as well as lead and support employees in their daily work. You will have personnel, operational, and financial responsibility for the unit, which consists of 17 employees. We are facing an exciting time where the transition to a new social services act presents both opportunities and changes. In this role, you are expected to take an active responsibility in the change process, and you will have significant freedom to develop working methods, initiate new efforts, and think innovatively – always with the best interests of our senior residents in focus. The assignment requires both a holistic perspective and an interest in operational development, where you motivate, lead, and create participation among your employees in a changing context. You will report to the area manager and be part of the area's management team, which will consist of one area manager and four unit managers. The management team collaborates closely and continuously plans operations together. You will also participate as a representative in collaboration meetings with both internal and external partners. Your skills and experience We are looking for someone who has: - A degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer - Relevant managerial experience in elderly care with responsibility for personnel, finance, and operations - Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have: - Experience from Stockholm City - Experience in change management To succeed in the role of leader and manager, you are a person with competence and commitment who has the ability to maintain a broad perspective rather than focusing on details.
