Bergstrands currently operates in eight locations across Sweden, where we provide upper secondary education, adult education, and labor market training.
The Role
Your primary responsibility is to lead the staff of the organization and coordinate the educational work. You will be responsible for following up, evaluating, and developing the operations in relation to national goals. Within the Adult Education division, you will also manage all administration related to the education and maintain a good dialogue with the contracting municipalities.
As a Unit Manager, you will make decisions regarding the internal organization of the school in an efficient manner and allocate resources according to the varying conditions and needs of the students. In your role, you will have financial responsibility for the operations and ensure that internal control and any regulatory functions are effective. As a leader within Bergstrands, you will set clear goals and actively work to involve employees. You will also ensure a good working environment based on equality and diversity.
Your Leadership
Bergstrands is looking for a Unit Manager who considers the broader perspective and prioritizes the overall best interests of the organization in actions and decisions. You work goal-oriented with a focus on results. You collaborate well with others, are a good listener, and resolve conflicts constructively. As a manager, you are proactive and driving in the development work. You promote innovation and diversity and actively engage in constructive feedback while developing your own leadership skills.
We seek someone who communicates clearly and ensures that expectations are clear to all parties involved. You think strategically and have a broad perspective on issues, considering the long-term significance and consequences of decisions.
As a Unit Manager, you lead, motivate, and empower others with the authority needed to effectively achieve common goals. You coordinate groups, foster engagement, and encourage participation. We are looking for someone who shows trust and confidence in employees and is willing to delegate responsibility and decision-making authority within the organization.
Education and Qualifications
You have relevant pedagogical training and have completed the Principal Program.
You possess strong skills in scheduling and resource allocation. You are well acquainted with the school curriculum and have solid knowledge of grading and assessment. You are familiar with regulations regarding contracts and labor relations. As a Unit Manager, you are well-versed in systematic quality and work environment management as well as financial administration.
Experience as a study and career counselor and previous work with vocational training within adult education or upper secondary education is an advantage.
