About this role
We're Hiring New Colleagues!
Do you want to work with people, impact others' lives, and make a difference? Kinda Municipality is the place for you. Here, we care for each other, and colleagues, managers, and citizens are always close at hand. We face an exciting future and want to continue providing high-quality service to our citizens. We want all employees to see opportunities, both big and small. We work with core values of forward-thinking, sense of responsibility, and dialogue. These values guide our daily work, how we interact with each other and those we serve - our citizens.
We Are Seeking 1-2 Unit Managers for Bergdala Care Home
Are you interested in a new challenge where you can help meet future needs and drive elderly care forward? Elder care is moving towards increased digital support to meet user needs, and we believe in welfare technology as a tool for enhanced participation and independence. As a manager in Kinda's Care and Social Services Administration, it's a given that you place users at the top of the agenda, just as you do with our employees. The goal is to find a balance between users, employees, quality, and economics.
Bergdala already has one unit manager, so we are seeking two additional unit managers for the facility. This requires shared leadership and excellent collaboration between managers.
Your Responsibilities
The unit manager position involves leading, planning, implementing, following up, and developing operations in accordance with political decisions, governance documents, and the municipality's financial framework. You will work on continuous improvements, playing a crucial role in leading, implementing, and inspiring change. As a unit manager, you are responsible for providing high-quality care and support, daily operations, economics, work environment, personnel, and internal and external collaboration.
Support functions will help facilitate your work and handle operational staff planning and administration. As a unit manager, you are ultimately responsible for staffing strategies and ensuring staffing requirements are met. There is a well-established, close collaboration with other unit managers.
Qualifications
We seek candidates with a relevant university degree, preferably related to care work (e.g., nurse, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist). Previous management experience in elderly care is a merit. We want someone who is confident and can lead, inspire, and motivate employees while creating conditions for excellent care.
You should be able to plan, structure, and handle rapidly emerging situations. You need decision-making skills and the ability to see events in a broader context, think long-term, and understand the consequences of different decisions. You should be unpretentious in your collaboration with management, staff, residents, and their families. Personal suitability is crucial. You should communicate effectively and express yourself correctly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
Additional Information
The municipality currently has three special care homes located in the main towns of Horn, Kisa, and Rimforsa. Home care is also organized geographically based on each location.
Bergdala Care Home is located in Kisa, consisting of 71 apartments across 8 departments: 4 dementia-focused units, 3 somatic care units, and 1 short-term care and nursing unit. Here, you'll find some of the country's most satisfied residents!
As a unit manager, you will report directly to the operational manager and be part of the elderly care management team, with significant opportunities to influence Kinda Municipality's elderly care now and in the future.
Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position can be filled immediately or by agreement. Apply today!
