The Midwifery Clinic is part of the primary care area Sundsvall/Ånge within the district medical care area Söder. Our unit has 11 team members operating in both Sundsvall and Härnösand with close collaboration between the locations. Together, we are responsible for maternal care for 8 health centers distributed across urban and rural areas. We provide family counseling, contraceptive advice, maternal care, and perform cervical sampling. Together, we work towards ensuring quality and secure maternal care for the region's registered patients!
The Position
As a unit manager with us, you will lead and develop the operations in line with Region Västernorrland's goals and values. You will have overall responsibility for the operations, staff, work environment, and finances – and you will do this with clear, present, and coaching leadership. You inspire participation, engagement, and joy at work, contributing to an attractive workplace – both for patients and our employees.
The position is a permanent position in your core profession combined with a fixed-term management appointment in accordance with the Region's leadership policy. Managers in the Region represent the employer and embody a leadership style based on good self-awareness, characterized by honesty, transparency, accountability, and personal courage. The role combines 50% as a unit manager and the remainder in your core profession as a midwife.

Responsibilities
The role involves both strategic and operational responsibilities. Your main tasks are to:
• Lead and develop operations in line with Region Västernorrland's goals and values
• Be responsible for operations, staff, work environment, and finances
As part of the management group for the area, you will closely collaborate with the operational manager and colleagues from 5 other units. Together, we drive development, quality, and results – aiming to create the future of primary care in Region Västernorrland.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
• Is a licensed midwife
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is advantageous if you have:
• Experience in leadership and development work
• Work experience within primary care
