About this role
One of our unit managers will be on parental leave, and we are now looking for a temporary unit manager with experience in social assistance and the labor market who wants to help lead during a time of change.
About the Role and Your Responsibilities
As the unit manager within the Employment and Social Assistance Unit, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the unit in close collaboration with your managerial colleagues. In your role as unit manager, you will supervise social workers, labor market consultants, and financial officers. You will collaborate with other unit managers primarily within your area of work, but also within the broader administration. You will have responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel. Your team will assess eligibility for social assistance and implement active labor market measures. You will be part of the management team for the area of operations and will collaborate with ten managerial colleagues. Additionally, you will have support from management support, HR partner, communication and finance departments, as well as the resource and development department.
We Are Looking For You
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You should be well-acquainted with work in social assistance and labor market initiatives with a focus on self-sufficiency. You need to have documented leadership experience and/or have completed Lund Municipality’s development program "Potential Leaders". The teams are self-sufficient and highly innovative. We offer flexible working hours and have subsidized wellness programs. There is also an option for vacation swapping. We work at the Lund City Hall Kristallen in an activity-based working environment.
