Unit Manager, Legal Protection

Your Task As the Head of Legal Protection, you will have a central role in leading and developing the unit. You are responsible for creating the best conditions for the unit's employees to succeed – both in daily work and in developing processes and working methods. You have overall responsibility for budget, finances, and personnel, and as part of the department's management team, you will contribute to strategic decisions that drive both the business area and the group forward. Your Team The Legal Protection unit has a crucial mission – to secure the status of Göteborg Energi's lines and facilities. By protecting our production and distribution facilities for electricity, district heating, cooling, gas, and fiber optics, we contribute to the city's infrastructure functioning safely and sustainably long-term. The team consists of six land negotiators and five consultants. They work with land access and property law issues in Göteborg Energi's various projects. They assess and negotiate compensation for encroachment, establish agreements with landowners, and represent the company in contacts with authorities like the National Land Survey. Our mission is not just about managing agreements and land issues, but also about driving and coordinating internal and external resources and developing our working methods and processes. In this way, we help Göteborg Energi continue to build and maintain a robust infrastructure for the sustainable city of the future. Your Competence We are seeking someone with a qualified university degree, preferably in land surveying or property law. Your work experience, combined with your strong interest in urban development and planning processes, makes you well-prepared for this exciting and challenging role. You also have valuable experience leading both employees and finances – a combination that makes you confident as a manager and leader. You thrive when leading through others and creating engagement and participation in the team. With a sharp sense of priorities and economics, you find the balance between development and efficiency. You are curious, attentive, and unpretentious – and gain energy from creating improvements that truly make a difference together with others. Previous project management experience is meritorious and provides you with an opportunity to contribute even more to our exciting initiatives.
