Are you our new Unit Manager?
We are currently seeking a Unit Manager for our newly established Security Support unit! The unit is responsible for Svenska kraftnät's support in security matters for operations and projects, and currently consists of two employees and several consultants. The unit is experiencing strong growth, and several consultant transitions will take place in the near future.
At present, its work is characterized by development combined with a large number of cases, and the ongoing operations are of great importance for Svenska kraftnät's projects and other activities to function effectively.
About the position
The role includes, among other tasks:
• Leadership of staff.
• Developing the unit's operations and employees in accordance with Svenska kraftnät's strategic goals and leadership criteria.
• Collaborating with other parts of Svenska kraftnät, thereby creating trust and understanding for the unit's activities within the organization.
• Together with other members of the section's management team, directing and developing Svenska kraftnät's work on security at a strategic level.
• Creating conditions for a good work environment and structure.
• Building teams, developing, and streamlining processes and working methods.
The Security Support unit is part of the Security section within the Department of Security and Preparedness. The section consists of four units that together are responsible for security matters in the areas of operational and security protection, information and cybersecurity, supplier security, and security support. You will be part of the management team for the section and report to the section manager. The unit belongs to the Department of Security and Preparedness, which has over 100 employees.
The position is permanent and located at our headquarters in Sundbyberg.

We are looking for an experienced leader who communicates clearly and actively and demonstrates mature leadership. You easily build trust and establish good relationships, and collaboration is an inherent part of your work. It is natural for you to view your area of responsibility as part of a larger context, both within the unit and other parts of Svenska kraftnät. It is important that you take initiative and maintain a positive attitude towards challenges that arise. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and drive your and the unit's efforts to achieve goals. In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Education:
You have a relevant academic background, such as in law, political science, or security, or equivalent knowledge that we assess as comparable.
Furthermore, you have:
• Leadership experience that includes staff management and team development.
• Several years of current experience working with security protection.
• A good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
Desirable qualifications:
• Knowledge of legislation in the area of security protection.
• Experience working with security in larger projects.
• Several years of experience working in a government agency.
• Experience working within the electricity supply sector.
Good to know
• The position is located in Sundbyberg.
• Remote work up to 50% may be possible if the tasks allow.
• Travel may occur, primarily within Sweden.
