About the position We are seeking a manager for the Karolinska Regional Shared Administration unit, where you will report to the head of the Health Informatics and Care Systems department. The IT operational area consists of approximately 200 employees, with eight department heads reporting to the hospital's IT manager. You will report to the head of the Health Informatics and Care Systems department. The digitalization of care and support requires individuals who understand the needs of healthcare as well as the possibilities and limitations of technology. As the head of the unit, you will be responsible for operations, budget, and personnel. Your role includes being the system owner for several systems used within the Region as well as Karolinska. You will lead a team of about ten employees with competencies such as delivery managers, product owners, systems specialists, and administrators, who, in collaboration with other colleagues in IT, drive and develop healthcare IT. Change work within Karolinska and the Region is ongoing, and your mission will grow over time as Karolinska is expected to take on expanded responsibility for healthcare IT, where parts of the systems used within the region will be led by you and your team. Insight into the future development and challenges of healthcare, along with operational capability and decisiveness to implement changes and drive work forward, are important prerequisites for the role. Qualifications Requirements: - Academic degree or other relevant work experience deemed equivalent. - At least 7 years of documented experience in managerial roles. - Good knowledge of applicable standards, agreements, laws, and guidelines in the healthcare sector. - Knowledge of regional development, administration, and governance. - Very good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. - Experience working in a politically governed organization. Meritorious: - Experience in both healthcare operations and IT, as well as a good understanding of how digital solutions support and develop care processes.
