The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health care, regulatory activities, service procurement, and operates care and support services in-house. Your Responsibilities
The Health and Care Administration in Linköping municipality is now seeking several dedicated Unit Managers to lead existing operations as well as prepare for the takeover of new home care areas and a new operational assignment starting on May 1, 2026. We are actively working to develop the future of care and support, including through our major investment in the "Close Care" concept and the vision VOF – Smart Care for the Future.
As a Unit Manager within home care, you have overall responsibility for operations, staff, work environment, and budget within your geographical area of responsibility. You are the present and accessible leader who inspires engagement and joy at work.
Your tasks include:
• Leading and distributing daily work and ensuring that services are based on individual needs, in accordance with our core values.
• Being responsible for the staff, which includes recruitment, professional development, employee conversations, and promoting a good and sustainable work environment.
• Actively working on quality development and monitoring of operations, including implementing new working methods and welfare technology.
• Striving for a balanced budget and using resources efficiently and responsibly.
• Collaborating with other professionals and external actors to create a seamless and safe care chain.

In our existing operations, we are expanding and seeking unit managers for shared leadership in Tannefors and in the Night Organization.
For our new operational assignments in Skäggetorp, Ulrika/Nykil/Vikingstad, and Lambohov, we are looking for unit managers in preparation for the takeover.
Who You Are
We are looking for a confident, stable, and courageous leader with a strong internal compass. You have the ability to see both the big picture and the individual and can translate strategic goals into operational actions.
Requirements:
• Relevant higher education, such as a degree in social work, social care, nursing, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Documented experience in leadership with responsibility for personnel, budget, and operations.
• Good knowledge of legislation and guidelines governing the operations (SoL, HSL).
• Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Good computer skills and an interest in digital tools.
Meritorious:
• Documented experience in leadership within elderly care, home care, or other care and support services.
• Experience in leading change and development work.
• Knowledge of the "Close Care" concept.
• A valid driver's license (B category) is desirable.
