Location: Tretorn, Campus, Galoschan and Kadorran - as they say, a beloved child has many names. With seven floors and 51,000 square meters, the Tretorn Factory has made a significant mark on Helsingborg over the years.
Fabriken1891, a name that reflects the building's history while creating new associations, was originally put into operation in 1891 by Helsingborg Rubber Factory AB, where all kinds of rubber-based products were manufactured until the 80s.
Today, the property is owned and managed by Wihlborgs, consisting of approximately 51,000 m², with just over a quarter used by Lund University. The remaining spaces primarily contain modern office spaces, and there are also a gym and several restaurants. The Restaurant: Fabriken Helsingborg has 240 seats, a café, and opportunities for private events. We have preserved the factory's essence and used recycling during renovation, creating a place that connects the history with the building where guests at Fabriken1891 want to hang out.
The Team: The team will consist of 4 people, with the head chef being your right-hand person.
About the Position:
As a unit manager, you will be responsible for staff, delivery, customer service, and finances. Together with your team, you'll be responsible for daily operations, constantly aiming to provide top-notch service to our customers according to our values: spreading joy, positively surprising, and being accessible. The job also includes participating in various customer meetings.
A typical day might involve:
• Ongoing coaching, development, and follow-up of your employees
• Ensuring and developing service quality
• Establishing and continuously monitoring goals
• Budget, forecast, and financial statement work
Job Requirements:
• Education in restaurant management or similar education/experience
• Experience in catering sales and new customer acquisition
• Strong economic knowledge and understanding of profitable operations
• Experience with HACCP and food safety/hygiene training
• Fluent Swedish, both verbal and written, with good computer skills
• Genuine interest and preferably knowledge/experience in sustainability work, as the restaurant is/will be environmentally and quality certified (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)
