The administration prioritizes a sustainable school organization as a strategic area.
Local supply is an important part of this work, and the unit plays a crucial role in the strategic efforts. The unit ensures that the administration has a sustainable local supply with physically accessible learning environments for the city's students. The administration's premises should be appropriately sized, well-located, functional, and sustainable over time. Through effective local supply processes from a business perspective and coordinated support with other support functions, the unit contributes to ensuring that the administration's activities can focus on their core mission. The unit is one of the key functions for the administration to achieve a balanced local supply and economy as it faces a declining population trend.
The unit is responsible for:
- Leading and coordinating the work with local needs planning and local supply.
- Monitoring and securing good technical capacity and shared use of the administration's premises.
- Leading, coordinating, and supporting work on renovations, extensions, and new constructions.
- Managing and developing the administration's premises at Gamlestads Torg.
- Collaborating with the city's urban development administrations.
- Working according to the administration's guiding principles, i.e., focus on core activities, development in collaboration, one administration.
The unit consists of approximately 20 employees and is organized with two coordinators, one for physical learning environments and one for local supply.
Job Responsibilities
As the unit manager for local supply, you have overall responsibility for goals, quality, personnel, results, and finances within the operation. This means you will lead, direct, coordinate, and develop the unit in accordance with the city's overall and long-term goals, guidelines, and governing documents. You have comprehensive responsibility for the management of the operation, including the direction of employees, assignments, and processes. The role also includes actively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our learning environments maintain high quality and meet future needs and challenges.
You will participate in the department's management team and be responsible for ensuring that cross-administrative decisions and processes are implemented in the operations.
An important part of your work will be to ensure that support is tailored to the administration's needs to provide good conditions for higher goal achievement. This means you will work with operational and strategic support for the operation, as well as create a shared culture of service within the organization.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A higher education degree relevant to the position.
- Several years of experience as a manager.
- Experience working with local supply issues at a strategic level.
- Experience in process and/or project management.
Meritorious:
- Knowledge of the city's local supply process and its governance model.
- Experience working with premises for educational activities.
- Knowledge of laws/regulations and other governing documents at local, regional, and national levels for the operation.
- Experience in resource planning and steering group work.
- Education in project management.
