As the head of the unit, you will be responsible for a competency area that is crucial for us to achieve our vision: "We will cure and alleviate tomorrow what no one can cure and alleviate today." We believe in a coaching leadership style, creating the right conditions for our employees, and leading through direction and goals. If you have formal leadership training, a good understanding of standards, agreements, laws, and guidelines within healthcare, as well as knowledge of regional development, administration, and governance – then you have the right foundation to grow into the role and develop as a leader with us. You will be offered: - To be part of an innovative and developing industry at Karolinska University Hospital. - A value-creating work environment where we take pride in our successes and have a strong drive to achieve even higher goals. - The opportunity to work in an organization that continuously takes new steps forward and has climbed the rankings of the world’s leading hospitals in recent years. Of course, you will also benefit from the general perks that Karolinska University Hospital offers. About the position We are looking for a manager for the unit Karolinska Local Administration, where you will report to the head of the Department of Health Informatics and Care Systems. The IT operational area consists of approximately 200 employees, with eight department heads reporting to the hospital's IT manager. You will report to the head of the Department of Health Informatics and Care Systems. The digitization of care and welfare demands leaders who understand both the needs of healthcare and the possibilities and limitations of technology. As the head of the unit, you will have overall responsibility for operations, budget, and personnel, and you will operate in the intersection of care, technology, and development. The role also includes being the system owner for several of Karolinska’s central IT systems, which provide essential support in daily care operations. You will lead a team of about ten employees with roles such as delivery leaders, product owners, systems specialists, and administrators. Together with colleagues in IT and operations, you will drive the development of digital solutions that contribute to effective, safe, and cohesive care. You will be responsible for several local administrations that work with operational management of systems such as Orbit, T-doc, TakeCare, and Always Open. Change management is a natural part of everyday life at Karolinska and within Region Stockholm.
