**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Lessebo Municipality is now seeking a driven and inspiring unit manager for the Lessebo service area who wants to further develop our operations and our employees within elderly care. We value your commitment and your ability to see opportunities rather than obstacles. As a unit manager, you will work closely with daily operations to support and motivate employees, contributing to creating a good work environment. You will have significant opportunities to develop and advance your unit. As a manager, your task is to organize, plan, and lead the operations in line with legislation and the goals set by the board.
You will be the unit manager responsible for personnel, budget, and work environment within elderly care, so you should have good knowledge of the laws governing our operations, such as the Social Services Act (SoL). Your responsibilities will include operational tasks such as overseeing implementation issues, leading, planning, and developing the operations, and working with employees to translate political decisions into quality services. The role also includes being on-call manager according to a rotating schedule.
As one of seven unit managers, you will be part of the management team within care and support, together with the operations manager. You and your managerial colleagues will work closely together, recognizing the benefits of sharing each other's knowledge. Quality development and shared strategies are our primary focus.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
We are looking for someone with a higher education degree suitable for the role, such as a social worker or behavioral scientist, or another relevant academic qualification that the employer deems equivalent. Previous experience as a leader in elderly care is an advantage.
As a unit manager, you have the ability to take initiative based on a holistic perspective and to engage and motivate your employees to work towards set goals in a qualitative manner. You are creative and have ideas for development in a changing environment. Your leadership is well-developed, and in your managerial role, you are decisive, clear, and action-oriented.

A valid B driver's license is required.
You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and have good knowledge of the Office suite.
