Unit Manager in Elderly Care We are looking for an engaged and communicative unit manager for elderly care, responsible for a team within home care and a social psychiatry unit at a special housing facility located in eastern Orust (office in Svanesund). You will replace the current manager who has taken on a new assignment. You will work in shared leadership with two colleagues, forming a team together. As a unit manager, you will be part of the management team for Elderly Care within the care sector and collaborate with other unit managers in both home care and special housing. We are a management team of 17 people responsible for developing, implementing, and driving initiatives together. About the Role As a unit manager in social care, you have an important responsibility to lead and plan services for elderly and younger individuals with disabilities. Your goal is to ensure a dignified and meaningful existence for our users and tenants. Good leadership in elderly care is clear, engaged, and communicative. Effective leadership trusts in the abilities of others and their willingness to develop. Your main areas of responsibility include: • Care and Well-being: You are responsible for ensuring that users are well cared for and receive the support they need. • Laws and Regulations: You ensure compliance with the laws and regulations applicable to elderly care. • Personnel Management: You lead and develop your employees. • Work Environment Responsibility: You ensure a safe and secure work environment. • Budget and Procurement: You are responsible for the budget and procurement within your unit. We are looking for someone with experience in elderly care and previous managerial and leadership experience. You have relevant education in social work, such as from the Social Work Program/Social Pedagogy. Personal qualities that foster a sense of well-being and security, as well as responsiveness, are important for succeeding as a unit manager, as the role is based on relationship-building. It requires both courage and humility, as well as a high degree of trust and security in your role and in your relationships with colleagues and employees. It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of the systems Procapita, Life Care, LMO, Adato, Novi, HR portal e-companion, Mercur, and Stratsys.
