The organization aims to promote meaningful leisure activities for children and youth.
We are currently splitting our existing unit into two and are therefore seeking a unit manager with a passion for developing our youth centers and strengthening the work around meaningful leisure. The focus for the coming years will be to:
• increase youth participation
• extend opening hours
• further develop the range of holiday activities in the district
• enhance collaboration with associations through leisure guides
• develop the individual leisure initiative as part of SSPF
• continue to develop the digital youth center
• expand the concept of public art experiences.
The organization consists of 25 employees and operates in three locations in Hägersten-Älvsjö, as well as in the digital environment and in the urban space through pop-up workshops and public art. The open youth centers cater to young people aged 13-18 and also include activities for sixth graders, while Liljeholmshuset and the digital youth center serve youth aged 13-19.

Your role
A message from your future manager:
In the role of unit manager, your main responsibilities will include:
• overseeing operations, budget, personnel, and work environment
• leading approximately 25 employees
• collaborating closely with the unit managers for the preventive unit and the unit for playgrounds and leisure for individuals with disabilities
• cooperating with other stakeholders such as social services, schools, preschools, police, associations, and our trade union organizations.
You will be part of the department's management team and report to the department head.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
• a relevant university degree
• several years of experience leading employees and developing work within youth center operations
• a very good ability to articulate both verbally and in writing in Swedish
• previously worked as a manager with responsibility for operations, budget, personnel, and work environment.
It is an advantage if you have:
- experience working with children and youth
- worked in a politically governed organization, preferably in a municipality.
