Welcome to Us The Elderly Care Department within the Northern Inner City District Administration consists of home care, nursing homes, needs assessment, and health-promoting units. In addition, the Elderly Care Department also has a department support with business developers, dietitians, occupational therapists, etc. The home care area is divided into six different teams based on geographical work areas. We are now seeking a secure and committed Unit Manager for Team Gärdet. Team Gärdet is a unit consisting of approximately 32 permanent employees. Please read more about our benefits here. Your Role As a unit manager, you are responsible for personnel, finances, and operations in your unit. You develop the operation together with your employees and create results in accordance with the assignment and operational goals. In your leadership, you are a role model for employees and a norm-setter for the administration's values by handling requirements and expectations from both management and employees in a professional manner. You are present and promote a good work environment while creating good conditions for employees to take responsibility, have influence, and participation based on their competence. You report to the area manager and are part of the management group for the home care area together with the other five unit managers. We expect you to actively participate in the entire area's development work and share your thoughts and experience. Your Competence and Experience We are seeking someone who has: - Academic education deemed relevant for the position - Current and multi-year management experience with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility in elderly care, preferably home care - Several years of experience from home care - High digital maturity and system proficiency It is meritorious if you have: - Experience from a politically governed organization, preferably the City of Stockholm - Experience in change management and business development The City of Stockholm has a management profile with five competencies that are important for the city's managers to possess.
