In the East region, in the department for disability and long-term reduced work capacity, we handle sickness and activity compensation, grants for work aids, and occupational injury benefits. The area consists of thirteen units, and we are now seeking a unit manager for our operations in calculating sickness and activity compensation. Close Leadership, Change, Sustainable Workplace As a unit manager, you are the leader closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state's core values permeate your work. Through your leadership, you communicate clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take responsibility. You have both personnel responsibility and result and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit. In the role of unit manager, you need high expertise in current subject matters. Your unit consists of 25 employees working with calculating sickness and activity compensation, located in Sollentuna and Örebro. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take responsibility and meet change needs. You create understanding of context, direction, and the department's set target images and develop the plans your operations require. As a unit manager, you support the area manager and are part of the area's management group of 18 members, contributing your expertise and commitment. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that those who work with us have high security awareness.
