About this role
Welcome to Orsa Municipality, a small gem in the northern part of Siljansbygden. Here, wilderness is just around the corner and culture is at the center. In Orsa, we do things together in a straightforward manner with close collaboration and short decision-making paths. In Orsa, we create with people, not for them; here, there is quality of life, and we make things possible. In Orsa, there is community, courage, and creativity.
**Description**
The new Social Services Act has, among other things, led to an increased focus on our preventive work and the need for social services to be easily accessible. In addition to a recently implemented strengthening of our resource team, we are now also looking for an additional IFO manager, so that we have one unit manager for children and youth and one unit manager for adults. It is the latter role that we are currently seeking suitable candidates for.
**Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for leading and distributing work within a unit in the municipality's individual and family care services. As a unit manager, you will have operational, personnel, and financial responsibilities and will supervise the unit's employees.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone with a higher education relevant to the field of individual and family care services. To lead, inspire, and motivate your employees, high personal maturity and self-awareness are required. As a unit manager within IFO, you need to have prior experience working in the field. We believe you have experience in operational leadership and are confident in your leadership role. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working in a politically governed organization and have good knowledge of applicable laws, agreements, and other governing documents relevant to the operations.
Systematic quality work is prioritized in Orsa Municipality, so it is important that you can take responsibility for planning, leading, developing, and following up on the work with quality development of the operations. Additionally, it is important that you are pragmatic and good at getting things done.
To meet the needs of today and tomorrow within social services, it will be necessary for you to be proactive, clear, and self-driven. Welfare technology and digitalization are becoming an increasingly significant part of our daily lives, so it is important that you can quickly adapt to digital systems and solutions.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The social services sector includes elderly care with special housing and home care, special care for individuals with disabilities, individual and family care (IFO), and the labor market unit (AME).
