Unit Manager for Home Care Services

Köping Municipality is in an exciting phase within the home care sector and is now expanding the number of managers in home care to improve the work environment. We are currently seeking a unit manager for a newly created home care area that includes a home care group and a service unit. **JOB DESCRIPTION** As a unit manager, you will: - Lead, plan, coordinate, and follow up on operations with a focus on patient safety. - Be responsible for two groups: a service group and a home care group, totaling approximately 30 employees. - Build and develop the groups that are part of the new area. - Develop and implement strategies and action plans to achieve the operational goals. - Be responsible for operations, finances, and personnel. - Receive support from planners, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. - Report to the head of health and medical services and participate in the health and medical management group alongside 8 managerial colleagues. - Be involved in a municipality-wide management forum led by the municipal manager. - Participate in internal training on work environment, labor law, and other personnel issues. **QUALIFICATIONS** We are looking for candidates with relevant higher education, preferably a bachelor's degree focused on care and welfare, social work, health care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You should have knowledge and experience in care and welfare operations. Previous experience in home care is advantageous. Experience in a managerial position with responsibilities for personnel, work environment, and finances is meritorious. We prefer candidates who have some form of leadership training. As the computer is your daily working tool, proficiency in IT and the ability to work and support in digital systems are required.
