Home Care West covers a large geographical area from Strömsberg in the north, the central town of Tierp and Månkarbo/Läby in the south, and Söderfors in the west.
You will work in a shared leadership together with colleagues. HR consultants, payroll assistants, economists, and procurement are some of the support functions available centrally in the municipality. In addition to home care, home healthcare, and rehabilitation, there is also a "safe discharge" service that receives users upon release from short-term or inpatient care if needed.
The staff group consists of care personnel day/night, administrators, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and physiotherapy assistants - approximately 90 employees.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We need to strengthen our team, and therefore we are seeking someone who can drive and develop the operation with a strong focus on our users, employees, and economy. As a unit manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the unit, budget, unit results and development, and employee work environment. This means planning, implementing, following up, analyzing, and taking actions to fulfill the units' assignments and meet users' needs.
On behalf of the area manager, you will also drive strategic goals together with your fellow unit managers in healthcare and social services. The assignment thus involves extensive internal and external collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking candidates with a degree in social care programs, social work programs, or other higher education, or education combined with management experience that we assess as equivalent and relevant for the assignment. It is merit-worthy to have several years of work experience in elderly care. Experience in management or leadership work within healthcare and social services is advantageous. You should be well-versed in current legislation governing the operation.
As a leader, you are confident, communicative, and able to handle change processes. You are characterized by a driven and brave approach, and your social skills and enthusiasm are contagious. You have good collaborative abilities and see the big picture. If you also have a sense of humor, you will thrive with us. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and social competence.
Tierp Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area. If you speak Finnish in addition to our other competency requirements, it can be a merit.
Requirement of a B driver's license.
A criminal record check is required upon employment.
