Job Responsibilities Are you an engaged and clear leader who can develop a clear structure for operational management and leadership where good relationships can be built and employees are given space to take responsibility for creating meaningful leisure time for children & youth on Hisingen? We are seeking a colleague with courage & commitment who, through a present leadership approach, wants to contribute to creating an effective and equivalent leisure operation in Hisingen. Leisure Hisingen consists of 7 youth centers and various meeting places around Hisingen. Much of the operation is conducted through projects and different collaboration forms. Common arenas include Hisingen's various schools, such as Lights On/school as an arena and leisure through community associations. Within the City Area, Welfare and Leisure department, collaborative projects span organizational boundaries and geographical areas. Leisure activities in Hisingen are conducted in close collaboration with both internal and external actors such as schools, public housing, and civil society. A multifaceted and exciting assignment. As Unit Manager for Leisure 3, you will work in the western part of Hisingen and be responsible for the mini-club and Vårvinden Youth Center in Biskopsgården, as well as Runt Hörnet, a meeting place in Torslanda. You will be part of the City Area, Welfare & Leisure department's management team consisting of four other unit managers and business developers. You will report to the department head. Together with other managers, you will be involved in formulating and driving the department towards set goals. The role also includes work environment, budget, and personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees within the unit. Qualifications We are seeking someone with a university degree in social work, behavioral science, leadership, or something equivalent as assessed by the employer. This position requires experience in the operational area, management and leadership, and work in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. You will drive a close, co-creative leadership based on trusting relationships with employees, colleagues, and those we serve. To succeed in the role, it is necessary to have a structured approach and a good overall perspective, enabling you to place your own operations in a broader context. You enjoy order and structure and value working with others to achieve shared success. You are a driven leader who makes things happen. As a leader, you are comfortable making decisions and acting on them. The unit manager role also requires you to be goal-oriented and results-focused, meeting deadlines. As a leader, you communicate internally in a way that creates participation within the organization and are skilled at collaborating both within and outside the administration, including with unions.
