The Community Development Department consists of several different professionals with various focuses and specialties, such as business, environment, and land issues. There are also two subordinate units, one of which is the service unit and the other is the property unit. Would you like to be part of developing the work of the service unit? JOB DESCRIPTION
The role involves a managerial position for the service unit with responsibility for the unit's operations, personnel, finances, and work environment tasks. You will have overall personnel responsibility for approximately 35 people spread across four locations.
The unit is responsible for:
• Food production in three of its own kitchens (Pilgrimstad, Gällö, and Kälarne) where meals are prepared seven days a week.
• Food distribution from the production kitchens to SÄBO (special accommodations) and preschools. Food distribution is carried out both in-house and through contracted services.
• Cleaning services, where the responsibility includes cleaning in the municipality's premises—both operational facilities and public housing stairwells, as well as targeted interventions. Some cleaning is done by in-house staff while other cleaning is provided through contracted services.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have at least a high school education in a relevant field. It is advantageous if you have some form of higher education or work experience that the employer deems relevant.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have at least two years of managerial experience with financial, personnel, and work environment responsibilities for a larger operation.
Since the unit is relatively new, it is beneficial if you have been involved in processes related to startup or change management and have experience in one of the unit's operational areas.
You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, as well as a good command of English.
