We are now seeking a unit manager for the Authority, Adult, and Functional Support Unit, as the current manager will retire in 2026.
The unit works with authority exercises within LSS, SoL, and LVM for target groups including functional support, harmful use and dependency, domestic violence, comorbidity, and social psychiatry.
As a unit manager, you will oversee two team leaders, 12 social workers, and one administrator. The unit is divided into two teams.
You will be part of the management team for the Individual and Family Care/Functional Support operational area, which consists of ten units.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills who can be confident in their leadership. In the role of unit manager, you will have personnel, financial, and operational responsibilities. You will drive, develop, and follow up on the operations towards set goals and conduct systematic quality work. You will work from a holistic perspective and make independent decisions within your unit.
The role of unit manager also involves continuously conducting improvement and development work in collaboration based on financial conditions and political goal formulations. In this role, you will alternate between operational and strategic tasks. An important part of your role is to collaborate and cooperate with other operations within Gislaved Municipality as well as with authorities and other stakeholders in the operational area.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a degree in social work, a bachelor's degree in behavioral science, or equivalent higher education of at least three years that the employer deems comparable. You should have leadership experience and knowledge of relevant legislation.
You are familiar with and understand what it means to work within an authority or in a politically governed organization.
