Work Responsibilities As Unit Manager for Catering and Cleaning within the Children and Youth Administration, you will have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, and budget within your unit. Your primary mission is to create a safe and motivating work environment where employees thrive, feel job satisfaction, and have the right conditions to deliver high quality. The role includes planning, following up, and developing operations in line with municipal goals and guidelines, including sustainability goals. You will be responsible for recruitment, introduction, and skills development of employees, and actively work with work environment and workplace satisfaction. Financial responsibility involves planning and monitoring your organization's budget and resource utilization. As Unit Manager, you are part of the management team and contribute to goal management, follow-up, and continuous improvements. You are responsible for planning and conducting meetings and competence development initiatives within the unit and play a central role in creating good relationships with both employees and the operations you support, such as school management and pedagogical staff. Through close and present leadership, you ensure that work quality is followed up and that the unit achieves its goals. Qualifications We are looking for someone with previous management experience, preferably in cleaning services or equivalent service operations. You should also have previous experience with budget and financial responsibility. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of cleaning services and the laws and requirements related to hygiene, work environment, methods, materials, and tools, as well as previous experience with management systems, such as ISO 14001 and 9001. As Unit Manager for Catering and Cleaning, you will have a responsible role leading both personnel and budget within your unit.
